Shane Hayes

Director

Shane graduated with an honours degree in Accounting from University College Cork in 2006, and commenced his professional training with Ernst & Young Dublin in the same year.  Shane is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Tax Adviser and Qualified Financial Adviser, with a huge breadth of experience serving business people, farmers and private clients.

Shane is a committed believer in the importance to the client in, where relevant, having a close relationship between accountant/tax adviser and financial adviser.  Shane is a founding partner of Hayes & Hayes Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers – this firm, before the founding of Old Head Financial, provided pension and life assurance services to its clients and was grateful to enjoy such growth in that side of its business as to require full-time financial advisers to join the team.  That having been the case, Shane set about forming Old Head Financial and is delighted to have a top quality professional team, operating from the historic and newly renovated Friary Street premises, now in place serving clients of the Hayes & Hayes accountancy practice, clients of various other accountancy practices and, importantly, clients with no connection to or requirement for any accountancy practice involvement at all.

Shane’s role with Old Head Financial is to chair the Board and to support the client facing team where required.
